We are really getting closer to the really exciting part of the renovation. The theme for our home is "Modern Resort" living. I've seen plenty of ID work locally but sadly nothing much worth mentioning except for 1 or 2 landed project that we've came across so far. It seem theme like Scandinavia and Industrial are more popular these days. To each it's own, but for us we are a hardcore modern resort theme lover. It all begin when we first visit Bali. We stay in one of their villa called "Villa De Daun" immediately we fall in love with the villa decoration and overall vibe of the theme.
Look at this OMFG!! How can anyone not fall in love with this?!!
This beautiful villa is conveniently located at the heart of Kuta. Highly recommended to try their "intimate moments honeymoon package". It is super good and value for money loh.. You get a lovely one bedroom villa with your own private pool. A two hours full body massage for two in a private couple room with shower area.. so after massage you can make out ya know what i'm saying all ya cheeky monkeys.. Just make sure to keep the noise down.. After your spa treatment, they will decorate your whole villa with candles and bed full of rose petal in the pool with candlelit dinner setup for you two love birds.. And did I mentioned there will be a private chef preparing the dinner for you!? Song right.. After the rosematic dinner confirm you will make out one more time then call it a night cause by then all mojo used up and you both will be damn shag.. Next morning free breakfast to your villa.. took your morning skinny dip in your private pool and AHEM again... Wahahaha.. Trust me Ben Teo recommend lobang such good one.. House got kids liao no mood right?! Come for short getaway like this la confirm all your kick lai liao.. Wahahah.. KNN how come suddenly my blog become like sammyboy blog sia.. lol better stop but PS la see all these photo make me really high again..
But the most sibei kan phua zai villa is this.. The Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali at uluwatu area. Yes as per the name it is at a located really sibei ULU..
Trust me stay here you really feel like king and feel like you in a place called HEAVEN.
Call me siao or what la.. I spent I think about USD$1.5k to stay here for 1 night.. But no regret la money can earn back and experience is forever one mah.. So since that day I told myself if I day limbei got my own house. I must recreate the USD$1.5k experience! The "Modern Resort" theme experience!

Now to my living room.. no la mai siao this is not my living room.. where got so big.. if my house so big I don't need so xin ku type my blog liao loh.. I will hire one writer and command him "ah first sentence start with similanjiao.. TYPE!!" Hahaha being rich is so song sia.. but not gonna happen la.. Anyway this is where I get my inspiration and ideas from for my ceiling cladding.. While others spend money overlay timber flooring.. very popular these days loh.. but I decided to do something more unique.. rather then timber my bottom I timber my top! Wahahaha..
Before they do the cladding they need to fix a support structure first. I think they called it the Batons.
Next they will fixed a layer of panel to allow the timber strip to run on later.
Look at how they cut out the holes for my spotlight and allocated the spacer for my AC unit so beautifully! I am truly impressed with their work.
Piece by piece my timber ceiling is taking shape!!
Final product! I am so damn happy with it la cause it look gan phua zai lo.. This will be one of the star feature of my home. However this is not done up by my ID because the quotation they've given me from their contractor is too high.. But my ID steady la he let me use the supplier that I've source outside.. Therefore my cladding and decking work is all done by Wood & Wood. Do check them out ya. Their workmanship, quality and efficiency is really good!
LIGHTINGS!! Before I begin to touch on my lighting work, I've done up a summary for your easy reading and references. All my lighting are from Taobao and JB (Tampoi). Initially I've set aside $3k for lighting but I ended up only spending less then $2k lo.. Talk about saving! According to my ID as I am quite anal when come to my lighting.. for the type of lighting that I wanted for my home if I get it locally it could easily cost me around $4-5k loh.. Yaya warranty whatever la.. For the price I pay my warranty is I can buy 3-4 piece and change if spoil lo.. anyway downlight so easy to change.
Some told me if house burn down insurance bo cover leh how?! I'm like simi LJ how many house burn down in Singapore before? I think the probability of coconut dropping on your head and kill you is higher then your house burn down lo.. and seriously if you really so suai house burn down.. how the f does the insurance company going to verify if your light got the what stupid approve decal?! Everything will probably be chao ta liao la.. Well no offend to the conservative folks out there ah.. this is just me.. hahaha.. well well if you are conservative most likely you will not read my blog la cause the content is too brutal for you.. Anyway I made a silly mistake and buy extra lighting la cause it's so cheap until I anyhow hoot hoot hoot.. So I have one extra balcony designer light with timber frame and one extra dining pendant light. If anyone interested just contact me ya.. Cash and Carry!
